Speech Controlled Robotic Arm
This project was done by Shoaib Fazal and Wajeeha Munawwar, two students at SEECS, NUST. This was their end semester project for the course Object Oriented Programming using C++. They used Microsoft Speech API for speech recognition and a MotorBee board to send signals to the motors of the robotic arm. Check out their video!
SMART Lab
This blog is about research and development activities at SMART Lab. Let me give a brief introduction of SMART lab. SMART stands for Smart Machines And Robotics Technology Lab. It is a research lab at School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (SEECS), National University of Sciences & Technology, Pakistan. It was established in Oct 2009 by me! Now I have a number of great researchers as part of this team. Our motto is Creativity, Innovation and Usefulness. We want to do research and develop products that are creative, innovative and most importantly useful for common people solving common problems.
The purpose of this blog is to share our discoveries, our projects, our ideas and our successes! More details about our research areas can be found on our website http://smart.seecs.nust.edu.pk
Our most recent success is a research grant worth 40 million rupees that we have won for our project "Development of a Tele-Surgical Training Robot and Simulator". Some of the other projects that we are doing include an Autonomous Robotic Platform, SEECS Simulator, Brain Machine Interface etc.
